You will be working as Engineer- Power Systems, reporting to Business Manager - Portfolio for Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions Division based in Nashik. You will be responsible for studying the customer power system requirements, consulting customers globally on available solutions, assisting in making technical proposals and preforming power systems studies for complex systems. The individual will also be responsible for guiding junior engineers to improve their technical skills and enable them to independently conduct power system studies.
Your responsibilities
- Perform power system studies like load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protective device coordination, arc flash, transient stability, system impact studies, harmonic studies, grounding & lightning analyses.
- Support and conduct electromagnetic transient studies.
- Coordinate activities with the global Power Studies and Consulting team.
- Prepare accurate, clearly written, well-organized technical reports.
- Model projects using typical power system study software like ETAP, PowerFactory, SKM, EasyPower etc.
- Specify equipment ratings and project design parameters based on studies.
- Take ownership of deliverables to meet client expectations.
- Provide support and technical guidance to a team of junior power system engineers
Your background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Power Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar role. Fresh graduates with passion for power system engineering are also welcome.
- Basic knowledge of international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA etc...
- Basic knowledge of advanced power system study software tools such as PSCAD, EMTP etc. is a plus
- Affinity towards programming (Excel VBA, SQL, Python) and automating the daily work routines.
- High self-motivation with ability to organize, schedule, prioritize, and multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills and willingness to travel internationally.
